Housel, Wisnewski, and the rest have done a bang-up job of linking philosophy and the Marvel comic book series X-Men. I found that popular culture and philosophy books are a great way to get into philosophy, which is an otherwise dense (albeit eternally interesting) subject. I learned more about the X-Men than I had previously thought possible. Not only is this book a good read, but you can learn a lot. There's lots of stuff from the comics as well as the movies, and something is brought to the table for everyone. I also really liked the rendering of Dr. Wisnewski into an X-Man, which appeared in his chapter of the book.
